Bishop's Chapel (St. Gallen)

The bishop's chapel , also known as the court chapel , is a chapel in the area of ​​the monastery district in St. Gallen .

The chapel was rebuilt in 1666/67 in the south wing of the courtyard and was one of the abbot's private rooms. In 1671 the band was at the same time with the dedication of the underlying Gallus Chapel consecrated . It is equipped with a lush coffered ceiling depicting various saints who are important in St. Gallen, especially Benedictine saints.

To this day the chapel belongs to the episcopal residence.
