Bisisthal is a settlement consisting of scattered mountain estates and belongs to the municipality of Muotathal in the canton of Schwyz , Switzerland . It is the main town in the Bisistal . Bisisthal had 347 inhabitants in 1875 - only 124 in 1991.

Bisisthal has a chapel in the Dürenboden district (built in 1896) and a pilgrimage chapel in Schwarzenbach (built in 1892).

There is a sawmill in the village. Tourism is very important with the Sahli – Glattalp cable car (mountain restaurant and Glattalphütte of the SAC ). From 1952 to 1970 the power plant was built at the instigation of the Schwyz district .
