Diocese of Civitavecchia

The diocese of Civitavecchia ( Latin Dioecesis Centumcellarum ) was a Roman Catholic diocese in Italy with a bishopric in Civitavecchia . As an immediates diocese, it was directly subordinate to the Holy See .

The diocese of Civitavecchia was established on December 10, 1825 from cessions of territory from the diocese of Viterbo e Tuscania and administered by the bishop of Porto e Santa Rufina . Already on June 14, 1854, the diocese of Civitavecchia was united with the diocese of Tarquinia to form the diocese of Tarquinia e Civitavecchia .
