The Bitburger Holding GmbH is the holding company of the investment business of the owner family Simon. The holding is the sister company of the Bitburger brewery group . The parent company for the Bitburger Holding and the Bitburger Brewing Group is Th. Simon GmbH & Co. KG, in which the Simon family has bundled their joint entrepreneurial activities.
Bitburger Holding, which emerged from the Bitburger brewery , is now responsible for a medium-sized group of companies. The holding company was founded in 1998.
Bitburger Holding's oldest stake is the majority stake in Gerolsteiner Brunnen . The holding company also has a stake in the toy and children's clothing manufacturer Sterntaler, the manufacturer of medical technology Dürr Dental , the tool manufacturer Wera Werkzeuge , Poli-Tape, HTS tentiQ and Avista Oil AG. In 2018, the investment company Bitburger Ventures was founded for investments in start-ups.
