The Bivacco Ivrea is an unmanaged refuge in the Gran Paradiso National Park in Piedmont in northern Italy . The hut is located at 2770  m south of the Gran Paradiso . It was built in 1947 and served as a template for twelve other identical types. The self-catering hut is open all year round. It is maintained by the Ivrea section of the Italian Alpine Club Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) and offers beds for nine people.

Approach and tours

The hut can be reached in about six hours from the municipality of Noasca or four and a half hours from the Rifugio Noaschetta . A transition to the Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II is possible via the Colle del Gran Paradiso .
