The Bjellandsvad bru ( Bjellandbrücke ) is a highway bridge during the Norwegian portion of the European route 18 between Grimstad and Kristiansand in the province ( Fylke ) Agder (formerly Aust-Agder ). It is near Lillesand between exit number 86 Brønningsmyr (Lillesand West) and the Bratteheitunnel. The small river Fjelldalselva flows 60 m below it and the village of Bjelland is located about a kilometer further up.

The E18 Grimstad - Kristiansand project , of which the bridge was a part, was carried out between 2005 and 2009. At the time, it was Norway's largest infrastructure project.

The 380 m long bridge has its own 11 m wide structures, each about 1 m apart, each with two lanes and a narrow hard shoulder. There are low concrete guide walls on the sides , which are raised by tubular steel railings.

The two bridges have m seven openings with Pfeilerachsabständen of 47.5 + 57.0 + 47.5 5 x, each of a unicellular prestressed - hollow box with trapezoidal be bridged cross-section and constant height. The box girders have their horizontal fixed point on one of the abutments . The slender, rectangular pillars are monolithically connected to their box girder. Bearings are only installed on the short last pillar and the adjacent abutment. From a structural point of view, the Bjelland Bridge is an example of so-called semi-integral bridges.

The superstructure was erected with a telescopic arm .
