Johann Jakob Zuberbühler (politician, 1719)
Johann Jakob Zuberbühler (born January 8, 1719 in Herisau ; † June 27, 1781 in Herisau; resident in Herisau) was a Swiss doctor , mayor, ensign, governor and governor from the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .
Life
Johann Jakob Zuberbühler was a son of Johann Jakob Zuberbühler and a cousin of Johann Jakob Zuberbühler , with whom Zuberbühler had a close friendship since they were studying together, and of Johann Laurenz Zuberbühler . In 1756 he married Anna Dorothea Zwingger, daughter of Jakob Christoph Zwingger, doctor and councilor of Bischofszell . From 1734 to 1739 he did preliminary studies in St. Gallen. From 1739 to 1745 he studied medicine in Halle , where he obtained a doctorate in medicine in 1745 with the thesis De noctibus agrypnis: Of sleepless nights . After stays in France and Leipzig , he took over his father's practice in Herisau in 1755. From 1756 to 1771 he was council and 1771-1772 Municipality captain in Herisau. From 1772 to 1774 he served as a state ensign, from 1774 to 1776 as governor and from 1776 to 1781 as governor.
