The Black Rapids Glacier is a 46 km long valley glacier in the Alaska Range in Alaska (USA).
geography
The glacier's nutrient area is at an altitude of 2300 m . The glacier initially flows 13 km to the northwest. Then he turns to the east. Mount Shand and McGinnis Peak rise north of the glacier . Four tributary glaciers flow into the 1.6 km wide main glacier from the south. The glacier tongue of the Black Rapids Glacier ends 1.7 kilometers west of the Delta River at an altitude of about 670 m . On the opposite bank of the river is the Black Rapids settlement on the Richardson Highway . The Black Rapids Glacier is on the decline.
