Blackfire is a punk band from Flagstaff , Arizona composed of Navajo artists.
In 1988 the three siblings Jeneda, Klee and Clayson Benally founded the band Blackfire to use their music to draw attention to the problems of their people . However, they themselves also say that they didn't know any other music at all and therefore played punk. In early 2000 they also recorded several songs with Joey Ramone . The band often performs with their father, Jones Benally, who is a traditional healer.
