Blackouts ( German about memory flaws ) is the second solo album by the German composer Manuel Göttsching . It was published in 1978 and, like the previous Göttsching album, recorded on its own. Nevertheless, the band name is given as on the previous album New Age of Earth Ashra . The album was recorded with Udo Arndt as a guest musician on guitar.

The album cover was illustrated by Mike Noome and shows a Gibson SG in close-up and two hands playing it. Göttsching's face is reflected in a metal part on the front of the guitar.
