Blackpool Dance Festival

The eight-day time Blackpool Dance Festival is the world's oldest still held international dance competition for ballroom dancing , which since 1920 in the Theater Winter Gardens in British Blackpool ( North West England takes place). The festival is held annually; since the early 21st century in May. In 2003, 1539 couples from 54 countries took part.

Competitions in standard and Latin dance for adults are held. The competitions are divided into amateurs, professional dancers and formations . There is also the Professional Team Match and the Exhibition Competition.
