Blanchardstown ( Irish : Baile Bhlainséir ) is a suburb of Dublin . With 68,156 inhabitants (as of 2011), it is the largest city in County Fingal and, together with Swords, forms a regional service center for the county. Since 1996 the population has increased by around 70%. A further strong increase in population is also expected for the next few years. The city is connected to Dublin city center by the N3 .
The city is the seat of the "Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown", and branches of international companies such as Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical and ebay are also located there . The Blanchardstown Shopping Center is one of the largest shopping centers in Ireland.
