topography
The Blassenstein clearly stands out from its surroundings thanks to the rock face that slopes vertically to the north. On the summit, which is only accessible from the south, there is a Neolithic settlement that was only discovered in 1988 .
Ascent
The Blassenstein is accessible by numerous hiking trails. It can also be reached by motor vehicle via a signposted road; only the last 500 meters between the parking lot and the summit have to be covered on foot, and there is also a goods road.
Urlingerwarte
On August 9, 1903, the Urlingerwarte was opened, a lookout point from which, when the weather is clear, you can see almost the entire Mostviertel as far as Linz , St. Florian in Upper Austria or the Waldviertel .
