Bleeding Gods is a Dutch death and thrash metal band that was formed in 2012.
history
After leaving the band Houwitser in 2012 , Ramon Ploeg formed Bleeding Gods towards the end of the year. He started working on a first demo . After the pre-production for this was finished, he contacted various musicians whom he had known from various festivals, club appearances and tours in recent years or who were friends or acquaintances of his who added to the line-up of Bleeding Gods. After a few rehearsals in early 2013, the EP Blood Symphony , which contains four songs, was recorded in early April . In September 2014, the recordings for the debut album Shepherd of Souls followed in the German Soundlodge Studio with the producer Jörg Uken . In 2014 the band signed a record deal with the Italian label Punishment 18 Records , where u. a. also Inverno and Nuclear aggressor under contract.
style
According to Danny Sanderson from metal-temple.com , the band combines Thrash and Death Metal on Shepherd of Souls . For each song, the group tends to tend towards one or the other sub-genre. Aleksandr "Antichrist" Maksymov from deadcenter666.com assigned the album to Death Metal and noted that the Thrash Metal components were only small. The sound is twisted and impulsive, the speed is high, with the group also making use of tempo changes, the speed of the drums is usually also high and the vocals are aggressive.
