Bleeker house
The Bleeker house is a listed building in Uetersen , Pinneberg district .
The building is a two-storey detached house with a hipped roof in the style of late classicism with a flat central projecting over two storeys with a balcony . The cast iron balcony railing is decorated with palmette motifs. It was built in the middle of the 19th century by order of Anton and Cäcilie Bleeker, owners of a sawmill and paper mill in Uetersen. The couple stood out as benefactors . You were the founder of numerous social institutions, such as a girls' school and the Uetersen city hospital (Bleeker Foundation). Cäcilie Bleeker was later made an honorary citizen of the city (1879) and at the same time became the first honorary citizen in Schleswig-Holstein. In 1999 a park was named after her ( Cäcilie Bleeker Park ).
The building stands as for its architectural, historical and urban value cultural monument under monument protection .
