At this point, a pedestrian bridge has spanned the Bleichenfleet since 1718 as an extension of the Scheelengang Bridge. The bridge was built after the great fire of 1842 in 1844 and 1845 according to plans by Johann Hermann Maack . The underground beer village Posemuckel was located on the Bleichenbrücke from 1982 to 1992 . The Posemuckel consisted of 13 beer bars, in which disco music , mostly Italo Disco , was played.
