The Bloukrans Bridge is an arch bridge with a free span of 272 m, 40 km east of Plettenberg Bay , South Africa . The bridge, completed in 1984, has a total length of 451 meters and a height of 216 meters above the valley. This makes it the highest bridge in Africa. It is located on the N2 national road along the Garden Route and crosses the Bloukrans River.
It was without falsework from both sides in the cantilever construction, the arc parts were braced on provisional towers.

In 1997, a bungee jumping facility opened on the reinforced concrete arch below the roadway at 216 m above ground .
