Blue Hole
Oceanographically , Blue Hole ( English for 'blue hole') refers to an opening (hole, sinkhole ) in the roof of a coastal reef .

The well-known blue holes include:
- the Blue Hole in Egypt, a popular dive site in the Red Sea
- the Great Blue Hole off the coast of Belize in the Caribbean Sea
- Ghar iż-Żerqa , the Blue Hole near San Lawrenz on Gozo ( Malta )
- Dean's Blue Hole off Long Island , Bahamas
- the Blue Hole near the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea , discovered in July 2016 according to a report by Chinese state television, according to measurements the deepest blue hole currently known to be 300 m deep
