Remarks

According to the horn player of the Strauss Chapel Sabay, the polka was performed for the first time on November 22, 1862 in the Zum Sperl pub . It was practically a rehearsal for the performance the following day on the occasion of the Katharinenball of visual artists in the Vienna Hofburg. The composer dedicated the work to his wife Jetty Treffz, who married him in August of the same year . The title name Bluette comes from the theater world and is an allusion to the fact that his wife was a well-known opera singer.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 3 minutes and 54 seconds. This time can vary somewhat depending on the conductor's musical conception.
