Arrangement of fresh flowers on the occasion of a funeral

A flower arrangement is a floristic ornament. There are pure flower arrangements, mixed arrangements or arrangements that consist exclusively of non-flowering plants and other materials. The arrangements available in stores vary according to the season. Also, especially in November, on the Christian days of remembrance of the deceased, flower arrangements are offered as grave decorations .

In order to make arrangements you need plug-in material. This includes, among other things

  • Modeling clay
  • Plastic parts, floral foam or other plug-in cores and so-called "metal hedgehogs"
  • Upholstery moss
  • Pintle wire, a thin wire for stabilization

Small baskets , flower pots (preferably made of terracotta ) and vessels of all kinds such as cups, jugs , vases, etc. are often used as additional bases for insertion and attachment . The plug-in material ranges from fresh flowers, dried flowers and grass to roots, twigs and pine cones or other natural materials. The Advent wreath is a mixture between wreath and arrangement.

The floral design using decorative design elements, such as flower arrangements for special occasions (wedding, funeral, etc.), is also part of the training to become a florist.
