Blumenkoog
The Blumenkoog (formerly Blomenkoog , North Frisian : Bluumenkuuch , Danish : Blomekog ) is a Koog in the municipality of Dagebüll immediately south of the Bottschlotter Lake . The Bongsieler Kanal separates it from the Waygaarder Koog and the Ockholmer Koog . It was diked in the years 1648 to 1652 at the instigation of the bailiff Wolf Blome, who also gave the Koog its name. Today the Koog covers an area of around 180 ha with a dyke length of around 3.4 km.
