The Blumenthaler Erbstollen was one of those mines in Wetter (Ruhr) that were not designed for coal mining , but for loosening the pit water from the rocks of the neighboring mines .
The granting of the Erbstollen fairness took place in 1832, and in 1841 the Erbstollen was set up in the suburb of Wengern . In the end it reached a length of almost 3 kilometers and drained the Trappe colliery and the Dachs & Grevelsloch colliery . In 1848 the Neu-Wülfingsburg colliery was also one of the “customers” of this heritage mine . The exact date of its closure is not known, but in 1964 the tunnel mouth hole is said to have been open.
