Blood wants to flow

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Blood wants to flow (original title Blood's a Rover ) is a novel by James Ellroy and (after An American Thriller and An American Nightmare ) the third and last part of the so-called Underworld trilogy by the author.

action

Blood will flow describes, among other things, the infiltration of left groups and the Black Panther Party by the FBI in the 1970s as well as the presidential candidacy of the Republican Richard Nixon up to the Watergate affair .

criticism

The novel stands out due to its collage-like, staccato-like form of representation with abrupt, short, sometimes incomplete sentences. In numerous reviews, however, the author's exhibited nihilism was also given critical tones - as was the complexity of the framework, which tends to overwhelm the reader.
