Robert "Bob" Kerr (born February 14, 1940 in Kensington ) is a British jazz musician ( trumpet , cornet ), who became known as a musical comedian.

Kerr was a member of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band in the mid-1960s . In 1966 he recorded with The New Vaudeville Band , before founding his own Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band in 1967 , with whom he has toured frequently in Germany since the early 1970s. He also played in the Bill Posters Will Be Band from 1983 . With his Whopee Band he performed at the Leverkusen Jazz Days and at Bingen swingt . Kerr toured again with the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band in 2006 and 2008 .
