Bob Miller (basketball player)

Bob Miller is a retired American basketball player . He played for Bayern Munich in the basketball league .

career

In the 1979/80 season Miller played at TV Langen in the 2nd basketball league and also worked as a coach for the Hessians in the youth and women's area.

In 1981 Miller came to SB DJK Rosenheim , played for the club's men's team in the 2nd Bundesliga and coached the Rosenheim women, whom he led to promotion to the regional league. He was also involved in the youth sector and in 1983 was one of the initiators of the first basketball camp for children and young people in Rosenheim. In the course of the 1985/86 season Miller took over the position of player- coach for the men's team and reached the promotion round to the basketball league with her .

In 1987 Miller moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga FC Bayern Munich, for whom he was on the field in the top German division.

After his time in the Munich Bundesliga, Miller played for the second division Lotus Munich , and in 1992 he returned to Rosenheim. He later coached the Rosenheim men's team for years and led them into the regional league. After the end of the 2016/17 game year, he resigned from the post to focus more on youth work. At the beginning of 2018, Miller returned to the office of coach at Rosenheim's men's team and looked after it until the end of the 2018/19 season.
