The Eimersleben post mill is a post mill near the village of Eimersleben, which belongs to the municipality of Ingersleben, in Saxony-Anhalt .

The windmill stands on a small hill west of the village, south of federal road 1 .

history

The mill was built in 1848. A purchase contract with which August Müller from Eimersleben sold the mill to Heinrich Güldenpfenig from Colbitz on July 11, 1863 for 3,050 thalers has been handed down to the story . The windmill was in operation until 1952, after which it fell into disrepair. In 1985 the reconstruction of the already badly dilapidated complex began. The first hammer blow was carried out on October 7, 1985, the 36th anniversary of the GDR .

Equipment and use

Remnants of the original mill technology have been preserved, such as a grinding mill and the bag lift. The wings are also there. Two of the wings are made as venetian blinds, the other two are equipped for sails. On the mill there is a one-sided hipped roof .

Today the mill is used as a private weekend property. A visit is possible by appointment.
