Bodine Aluminum, Inc. is an American automotive supplier for parts made of cast aluminum , based in St. Louis ( Missouri ), a 100% owned subsidiary of Toyota 's.

history

The company was founded in 1912. In 1960 the company moved to the St. Louis plant.

The takeover by the Toyota subsidiary TMCS (USA) took place in January 1990. In January 1993, the Troy plant began operations, while production in the Jackson ( Tennessee ) plant began in December 2005.

production

The Troy plant manufactures cylinder heads and blocks. The St. Louis plant produces engine mounts and other parts. The Jackson plant manufactures housings for automatic transmissions and cylinder blocks.

In 2011, 1,011 employees produced around 1.61 million cylinder blocks, 1.08 million cylinder heads and 260,000 gearboxes.
