Bodo mushroom
Bodo Champignon (born December 29, 1941 in Dortmund ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
Life
After attending elementary and vocational school, Champignon completed his commercial apprenticeship in 1959 with the examination of a commercial assistant. After that, interrupted from his basic military service, he took on various administrative and group leader positions. From 1978 to 1981 he was a member of the works council at Hoesch Hüttenwerke AG .
Champignon is married and has two children.

Champignon has been a member of the SPD since 1969. From 1980 to 2005 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , into which he entered via a direct mandate (constituency Dortmund IV).
Honors
- Champignon was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class in 2006.
- He was awarded the Marie Juchacz plaque from the Arbeiterwohlfahrt in 2012.
- On December 7, 2012 he received the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .
