Bodo Schulte

Bodo Schulte (* 1963 in Menden ) is a German puppeteer , puppet maker, screenwriter and puppet coach.

Puppet show

Schulte plays Käpt'n Blaubär (WDR) on German television, was the first puppeteer to play Bert (2003 in Sesame Street ) outside the USA and invented the television maker Klemens Schulte-Vierkötter (WDR). Other well-known TV characters: Monty and Mitzi (Disney Channel), Tiger (Nickelodeon), Hildegunst von Mythenmetz (Walter Moers) and Lukas the Armadillo (WDR).

In 2011 and 2013 he was active in over 100 shows at “berlin Erleuchtet” at the world's largest theater stage with the snow hare FRITZE at Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin . In addition to playing and singing, Schulte was also involved here as an author and puppet maker.

Author and teacher

As a screenwriter (International Film School Cologne) he writes TV and feature films (e.g. for teamworx and Oberon GmbH).

In workshops and cinema or theater productions, Schulte trains puppeteers, actors, musicians and multipliers in the professional field.
