Bodo Wolfhard Hertsch

Bodo Wolfhard Hertsch (born June 27, 1943 in Potsdam ; † October 3, 2011 in Tremsdorf ) was a German veterinarian .

Life

Hertsch was professor at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover from 1982 to 1992 and from 1994 to 2007 university professor and full professor for equine diseases and surgery at the Clinic for Horses, General Surgery and Radiology at the Free University of Berlin . From 1992 to 2003 he was President of the Society for Equine Medicine, and since 2004 Honorary Chairman. Hertsch has written numerous articles and publications.

He was the owner of the Eichenhof riding facility in Tremsdorf near Ludwigsfelde (Berlin-Brandenburg) and a successful rider ( class 5 ). Hertsch died as a result of a riding accident.
