Oil rig 23051

The rig 23051 is located in the Gulf of Mexico about 20 kilometers off the coast of the US state of Louisiana . It was owned by Taylor Energy , a Taylor family company. In 2004, the rig was moved by Hurricane Ivan and the oil wells were badly damaged. Since then, oil has been released in significant quantities. In 2008 the company sold its oil wells to a South Korean consortium.
