Boichi (born January 29, 1973 in Seoul ), actually Bak Mu-jik , is a South Korean mangaka . He became known through his manga Sun-Ken Rock .

Life

Boichi was born in South Korea's capital, Seoul. Even as a little boy he had the dream of becoming a mangaka. He became famous in South Korea in 1993 when he published several books in which he gave instructions on how to draw manga. In 2004 he tried to gain a foothold in Japan , where he still lives today. There he initially published some smaller works, including a. Space Chef Caisar . His breakthrough came in 2006 with Sun-Ken Rock , which appears every two weeks in Young King magazine .

Park is considered a very humanistic person; he deplores Korea's behavior during the Vietnam War . This theme plays a central role in some places in Sun-Ken Rock .

During the Japanese earthquake disaster in 2011 , he donated money that he actually wanted to spend on a new car to victims of the tsunami .
