Boisselée

Boisselée , complete Boisselée de terre , was a French measure of area for arable land. It was a so-called sowing measure and the area was the sowing land. Boisselée means a bushel full. The possible arable land to be cultivated resulted from the amount of seed of a bushel.

  • 1 Boisselée = almost 430 square meters
  • 8 Boisselées = about 1 Parisian arpent / acre (1 A. = 3418 4/5 square meters)
