Bolat Baqauow
Bolat Schumabekuly Baqauow ( Kazakh Болат Жұмабекұлы Бақауов , Russian Булат Жумабекович Бакауов ; Bulat Schumabekowitsch Bakauow * 27. June 1971 in Nowokusminka , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician.
Life
Bolat Baqauow was born in the Novokuzminka village in the Shelezin district in the Pavlodar region. From December 1989 to October 1991 he did military service in the Soviet Army . He graduated from the Kazakh Institute for Law and International Relations in 2003. In 2005 a degree in economics and business management followed at the University of Management in Almaty .
In 2003 Baqauow went into politics and became a member of the regional parliament of Pavlodar. From December 2008 to October 2011 he was Akim of Qashyr County (Pavlodar Region) before he was appointed Mayor of Aqsu City on October 8, 2011 . On April 14, 2014, Baqauow was appointed mayor of Pavlodar city . Since March 25, 2016 he has been Akim (governor) of the Pavlodar region.
