The Bolton Glacier is a glacier on the Danco Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows into the head of the Briand Fjord in the Bay of Flanders .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 and 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the British photography pioneer William Blanchard Bolton (1848–1889), who in 1864, together with Benjamin Jones Sayce (1839–1895), used the bromide silver emulsion process for collodion Had developed dry plate photography .
