Bonjwa was originally founded by Niklas "Honor" Behrens during his active career as a professional Starcraft 2 player as the first German eSport school. After several collaborations and formats with other Internet TV channels such as B. Rocket Beans TV , Behrens and other co-founders started their own Twitch channel in 2016 .

concept

Live programs with changing game formats and moderators are offered on the channel at different times. In addition, the content is published as video-on-demand on Twitch and YouTube ; this enables viewers to watch content retrospectively. The programs can also be found on the broadcaster's website by searching for formats or moderators.

The live channel is partly financed through cooperation with other companies. The largest part comes mainly from the viewers, who can donate through various platforms. The studio, which has been broadcasting from Hamburg since 2017, was z. B. financed mainly by the audience through a crowdfunding campaign.

Content

The program includes game and talk show formats in which different types of games are presented as Let's Play or z. B. it reports on news of the game industry and general topics.

In addition, reports were also made live on site on various occasions, such as B. from Gamescom 2018 , where Bonjwa was the official German Twitch streamer and broadcast interviews with other well-known streamers and other personalities from public life (including Bushido , MontanaBlack ).

Furthermore, a separate "offline" board game format was created in cooperation with Pegasus Spiele in 2017 and broadcast on the main channel. In December 2018, the format continued with the support of Hasbro .

At the Nordish Gaming Convention 2018, a dedicated LAN area was set up for 100 viewers from the Bonjwa community. Various eSport tournaments and live events were broadcast directly from there.
