Bonnie Perry

Bonnie Perry is an American bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States of America .

Life

Perry studied biology at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester , Massachusetts and then theology at Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York and at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Illinois . In December 1990, Perry was in the Diocese of Newark for Anglican priest ordained. From 1992 to 2000 she worked as Congregational Development Vicar and from 2000 as Rector for the All Saints' Episcopal Church in Chicago . In 2009 she was a candidate for the office of bishop in the Diocese of Minnesota . On June 1, 2019, Perry was elected to succeed Bishop Wendell Gibbs Jr. as Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Michigan .
