Bonnie and Terry Turner

Bonnie and Terry Turner are an American author couple. Her best-known productions include the sitcoms Behind the Moon Immediately Left and The Wild Seventies , as well as the feature film Wayne's World .

The Turners have been working together since the 1970s and were sketch writers for the NBC comedy show Saturday Night Live between 1986 and 1992 . The scripts for the films Wayne's World (1992) and Wayne's World 2 (1993) were created from characters they helped to develop . The Coneheads (1993) was also based on SNL sketches . Other films include The Brady Family and Tommy Boy , both from 1995.

For NBC they then developed the sitcom Behind the Moon Immediately Left , which was broadcast from 1996 to 2001. Her next creation, the sitcom The Wild Seventies , ran on Fox between 1998 and 2006 . The series Normal, Ohio and That '80s Show , of which only 13 episodes each were produced for Fox, were shorter-lived. The Whoopi series ran on NBC between 2003 and 2004 with 22 episodes.
