Lesson for Tom is an American animated short film directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera from 1951.

action

Jerry writes a letter to his cousin Muscles, who is considered a feared cat hunter in his town. Muscles immediately travels to Jerry and takes up the fight with Tom. First he throws the dynamite sticks out of Jerry's mouse hole in Tom's mouth, later beats Tom when he disturbs them while they are eating, and is annoyed when Tom doesn't let both mice sleep in his cat basket.

Tom now hires three thugs, but they don't stand a chance against Muscles. Tom gives up, kneels in front of Muscles and kisses his feet. Muscles can now leave, but Jerry leaves his clothes there with the hint that he only has to whistle. Jerry now dresses like Muscles and whistles. Tom appears immediately, kisses Jerry on the feet and the mouse is delighted.
