Boorowa Council was a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of New South Wales . The area was 2,579 km² and had about 2,400 inhabitants. In 2016, the newly created Hilltops Council took off.

Boorowa was in the north of the south-eastern region of the state about 320 km west of the metropolis Sydney and 115 km north of the state capital Canberra . The area comprised 27 hamlets and towns: Aubyn Vale, Bennett Springs, Boorowa, Boorowa East, Breakfast Creek, Frogmore, Goba Creek, Godfreys Creek, Graham, Gunnary, Hovells Creek, Kember, Kennys Creek, Kenyu, Mount Collins, Narrallen, Phils Creek, Prossers, Pudman, Pudman Creek, Reids Flat, Rugby, Rye Park, Suffolk Vale, Taylors Flat and parts of Wyangala and Wyangala Dam. The administrative headquarters of the council was in the village of Boorowa in the southeast of the LGA, where around 1,200 inhabitants now live.

The Boorowa Council had nine members elected by LGA residents. Boorowa was not divided into districts. The mayor of the council was also recruited from among the councilors.
