Booze & Glory is a British Oi! Band from London . It was founded in 2009.

Band history

Booze & Glory was founded in 2009 in London by Mark (vocals), Liam (guitar), Bartez (bass) and Mario (drums). Bartez and Mario originally came from Poland and were already on the Oi! Scene there. The front man Mark is also originally from the Polish city of Sosnowiec. In 2010 her debut album Always on the Wrong Side was released on 84 records. Two split EPs followed , one with the Harrington Saints and the second with the English band The Warriors. The second album Trouble Free followed in 2011 . Then several EPs and a singles collection with the song London Skinhead Crew appeared . A video was made for the latter, which was clicked about 16 million times on YouTube and was the band's greatest success to date.

In 2013, Bartez and Mario left the band for family reasons. The Swedish drummer T. Cliché (The Clichés, Clockwork Crew) and Bubbles were brought into the band to replace them. In 2014 the band was signed by Step-1 Music and released their album As Bold As Brass there . The album Chapter IV was released in 2017, Hurricane in 2019 .

Music style and lyrics

Booze & Glory play straightforward British Oi! with lots of singalongs and catchy rhythms. Lyrically, the entire range of British topics is served, from working class to alcohol consumption to self-description of the London skinhead scene. The lyrics express a certain patriotism towards England, pride in London and their football club West Ham United . However, the band attaches importance to consist of different nationalities and positions itself clearly against the right-wing skinhead scene. But otherwise it acts as apolitical.
