The Bordogna Plateau is a 3000 to 4000 m high and triangular in its extension plateau of 72 km² in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It is in the southern Holland Range on the Shackleton Coast . The plateau is bordered by sheer cliffs and Mount Lloyd to the north and Clarkson Peak and Mount Miller to the south. The steeply sloping cliffs on its south side rise 1200 m above the Bowden firn field .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the plateau in 2005 after Joseph Bordogna (1933-2019), who held several leading positions in the National Science Foundation between 1992 and 2005 and was instrumental in the United States Antarctic Program .
