Borijana Slatarewa ( Bulgarian Боряна Златарева ; born February 7, 1982 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian ski racer . She celebrated four victories in FIS races and took part in the 2003 World Championship in St. Moritz.

Career

Slatarewa took part from February 1998 mainly in FIS races in Southeast Europe. In March 2000 she achieved her first victory in a giant slalom in Greece. From the 2000/01 season she also took part increasingly in FIS races in Central Europe, but rarely came in the top 30. In February 2001, she started as the only Bulgarian at the Junior World Championships in Verbier , Switzerland. She finished 47th in giant slalom and 49th in slalom. In the next two years she reached several podium places in FIS races and in February 2003 she took part as one of two Bulgarians in the slalom of the World Championships in St. Moritz . With the 42nd place out of 50 rated runners, she was able to place directly in front of her compatriot Marija Kirkowa . In the winter of 2003/04 she won three FIS races in Bulgaria and in the 2004/05 season she achieved several podium places. Slatareva contested her last race in April 2005.
