Boris is an Italian television series that aired three seasons between 2007 and 2010. It is a metafiction , the plot takes place on the set of the (fictional) television soap Gli occhi del cuore 2 (German: The eyes of the heart, season 2 ) or in the third season on the set of the (equally fictional) hospital series Medical Dimension .

In April 2011, the film based on the series Boris - Il film was released in Italian cinemas.

content

Boris is unique on Italian television, both as a metafiction and as a satirical to cynical commentary on Italian soap operas .

The title of the series refers to a goldfish , which for the soap director has the meaning of a talisman. He has a whole collection of such ornamental fish, all of which bear the names of famous tennis players. The eponymous goldfish borrowed its name from Boris Becker .

At the beginning of the 1st season, the intern Alessandro joins the team of Gli occhi del cuore 2 , he witnesses the absurdities of everyday shooting on behalf of the audience.
