Boris Hollas

Boris Hollas (born September 18, 1970 in Gießen ) is a German computer scientist.

After graduating from high school (1990) and completing his military service, Hollas studied mathematics in Marburg, Dortmund and Gießen. From 1999 to 2000 he was a research assistant at the University of Tübingen, and from 2000 to 2005 at the University of Ulm. He received his doctorate in Ulm in 2005. From 2006 to 2010 he worked as a research assistant at Robert Bosch GmbH. Hollas has held a professorship for Artificial Intelligence / Theoretical Computer Science at the HTW Dresden since 2010 .

Hollas is an expert member of the Artificial Intelligence Enquete Commission of the German Bundestag, which was founded in 2018 .

Hollas has been a member of AfD Saxony since 2013 . Here he is head of the state committee for education, science, culture and media.

Since 2018 he has been a member of the board of trustees of the AfD-affiliated Desiderius Erasmus Foundation .
