Boris Rumiancev
Boris Rumiancev ( Lithuanian Borisas Rumiancevas , Russian Борис Николаевич Румянцев , German transcription Boris Nikolajewitsch Rumjanzew ; born July 4, 1936 in Tomsk , Novosibirsk Oblast , Russia ) is a Lithuanian chess player of Russian origin. He has held the title of FIDE Master since 1996 . In 1967 he finished 5th and in 1968 4th place in the individual championship of the Lithuanian SSR . His current rating is 2051 (as of December 2015). His highest rating was 2315 in July 1997.
Rumiancev is also active in correspondence chess . In 1991 he was named International Correspondence Chess Master and later in the same year Correspondence Chess Grandmaster. After winning the international tournament “Vilnius-100” (1988-1993) he was awarded the GM title.
