Boso of Lausanne
Boso († 927 ) was Bishop of Lausanne from 892 to 927 .
Life
Boso was trained as a cleric in Lausanne and was appointed Bishop of Lausanne by King Rudolf I of Burgundy in 892 . Rudolf granted the diocese countless freedoms (market freedom, voting rights, rights in Jorat ) that form the basis for future Bishopric laid. The good relationship with Rudolf I changed abruptly under his son and successor Rudolf II , who snatched Resudens from Bishop . Bishop Boso never acknowledged this loss, and thanks to the mediation of Emperor Otto III. gave Rudolf III. the stolen territory back.
