Boua

Boua or Bua (full title Brhat Chao Buvana ; * in the 18th century; † 1853 in Bangkok ) was the designated Prince Governor ( Chao Mueang Nakhon Champasak ) of the Champasak Empire . He died before his official installation.

Boua was a grandson of Maha Uparat (viceroy) Tammatevo Pudisatkhattinarat of Champasak, who held this position between 1728 and 1768. After the death of Prince Governor Nark in 1850/51, Boua was taken over by King Rama III. appointed by Siam as his successor. The celebrations for his inauguration dragged on, however, so that Boua died in 1853 without having officially ruled.

A brief period of turmoil followed after Boua's death, during which the Prince Suriya ruled as Maha Uparat and died a short time later (1855). He was followed by the third son of Prince Huy , Yutti Thammasunthon .
