Bouke Beumer
Bouke Beumer (born November 21, 1934 in Valkenswaard ) is a Dutch politician ( ARP , later CDA ).
Beumer was mayor of Midwolda from 1966 to 1975 and provisional mayor of Scheemda from 1968 to 1971 . From 1970 to 1975 he was a member of the Groningen Provincial Council, then until 1979 of the Second Chamber of the States General . He was one of the so-called loyalists who was against a government of his CDA with the VVD under Prime Minister Dries van Agt , but tolerated this government. From 1979 to 1994 Beumer was a member of the European Parliament .
