Name origin
The boulevard was named after the northern French city of Denain , where France defeated its opponents in the Battle of Denain in 1712 .
history
The road was opened by royal decree of January 31, 1827 on the grounds of the Enclos Saint-Lazare .
The street, completed in 1859, was first rue de la Barrière-Saint-Denis , then rue de Denain , and finally avenue de Denain (1847) before it was finally renamed Boulevard de Denain .
The boulevard, which is 30 meters wide and 110 meters long, is bordered on both sides by residential buildings that house restaurants, bank branches and retail outlets on the ground floor.
